The Music Works

The Music Works Logo

Our mission is to transform lives through music. We’re specialists in working with young people in challenging circumstances to help them reach their full potential in music, in learning, and in life. Many young people miss out on making music – particularly those who could benefit the most. We want to put that right. We work with young people to engage them through music, build confidence, self-belief and motivation, and so empower them to improve their life chances.

Stars of Tadstock

Jordan Blackmore - Studio 340 Volunteer

"Tadstock was enjoyable for me because it was the first time I got to properly work at a festival. I mainly do studio work and never really get the chance to experience the other side of music, which is the live side! I also met the live sound engineer and his intern and spoke about the differences between live sound and studio work, which was helpful for me because I would love to look into live sound in the future!"

Sofia Chedas - Community Stage Act

"It was the most special experience in my life! It made me improve my confidence on stage. It also was a great experience for my family, as we’ve never been to a festival before."

Julian Mika - Main Stage Act

"I really enjoyed my time playing at Tadstock festival. Not only because the set up was great and the energy of the whole festival was beautiful, but mainly to see so many young up and coming artists. Artists who share a similar dream performing on stage, with a passion that was so evident. It was inspiring for me personally and I believe it was for everyone else who was there. Better the stage then the streets!"

Griz-O - Community Stage Act

"I enjoyed Tadstock because it was a friendly environment with some artists/organisers I’m already familiar with. Tadstock is the first festival I’ve done so I didn’t know what to expect really but it was a good experience! In addition the community stage setup which I performed on was cool, the tent made it more intimate so it was easier to see the crowd reactions etc."

We’re really pleased to have some lovely people who will provide free yoga sessions for everyone, old & young, throughout the weekend, organised and lead by Maysa Marques and Taty Silva. Two experienced yoga teachers from London. In their own words “Yoga is about a connection between your body and mind. It is a practice that accepts everyone and anyone, you just need to want to do it. No experience needed, no flexibility needed, just an open heart to tackle a new experience.”

December 2017

We're offering a 25% discount to our regulars so grab your tickets while you can! Details of discount code will be in the email sent to you. There are various camping areas, some quieter, some less so, parking, toilets, showers, first aid, great musicians, kids entertainment, yoga & mindfullness workshops for all - all included in the price! We'll also have great food and drinks places too.

Melbourne indie orchestra 'Other Animals' were one of the headline acts last year and went down a storm. They did a brilliant workshop for some of the younger musicians as did our other headline act, Brand New Heavies, and there will be more inspiring workshops in 2018. BAAST stole the show closing Sunday night - this was Beth's 3rd Tadstock performance and perhaps the best so far! The band have great potential!

Come and join us celebrating youth music and in return you'll get an amazing long weekend for less than the cost of a campsite!
